Detailed Solution

Mughal Emperor Akbar passed away at the age of 63 in Fatehpur Sikri, Agra, on October 27, 1605. On October 15, 1542, Akbar was born in Umerkot, modern-day Sindh, Pakistan, the son of Humayun and Hamida Banu Begum. He was conceived in a Rajput castle where his parents had taken shelter from the local tyrant Rana Prasad. In Kabul, he was brought up by his uncles and aunts. Abu'l-Fath Jalal-ud-din Muhammad Akbar was his full name. In Kalanaur, Punjab, Kbar was proclaimed Shahanshah by his regent Bairam Khan. Before being replaced by Akbar in 1560, Bairam Khan served as regent. Akbar went on to greatly expand his father's empire through military victories and clever political unions with Rajput families.
