The world economic crisis in rural India resulted in the indebtedness of Indian peasants being increased, and the global recovery of India helped Britain's economy.
As a consequence of the global financial crisis in rural India, Peasants in India became more indebted, and the worldwide recovery in India boosted the economy of Britain.
They were surviving on their savings, mortgaged lands and sold jewellery and precious stones to meet their expenses. During the period of depression, the establishment of industry and factories during the war year helped to revive the shock of the economy. In these years, India became an exporter of precious metals, especially gold. Indian economic recovery helped Britain speed up its recovery because India was also a colonised country at that time. But then also, Britain did nothing to uplift the peasants of rural India.
