Detailed Solution

Riverfront gardens and ceremonial halls were parts of architecture and construction during the reign of Shah Jahan. Shah Jahan's capital was Agra, where the nobles had built their homes on the banks of the river Yamuna. These were arranged within the midst of formal gardens constructed as a variation of the Chahar bagh style, which was called the "riverfront garden". The public and private audience ceremonial halls (diwan-i khas o am) were beautifully designed. These courts, which were located inside a spacious courtyard, were also known as chihil sutun or forty-pillared halls.
