Detailed Solution

The objectives of the National Assembly is To draft the constitution and To end the old regime. The National Assembly was formed in 1971 based on the constitution framed by the third estate, which was oppressive and discriminatory. The constitution tried to limit the powers of the monarch as most of the powers were concentrated in the hands of one person. And this created considerable problems in French society. Now with this new constitution, the powers were separated and given to different institutions called the Legislature, Executive and Judiciary. And this was the reason for the French polity to be called the constitutional monarchy.
