Detailed Solution

We have to find the area of a rhombus with AC = 24 cm and BD = 16 cm.
Question ImageLet ABCD to be Rhombus with diagonals AC and BD,
We know that in a Rhombus, diagonals are perpendicular bisectors to each other.
Calculating the area of triangle AOB,
= 1 2 ×AO×OB = 1 2 × 16 2 × 24 2 =4×12 =48c m 2
Calculating the area of Rhombus ABCD,
The area of the Rhombus is 4 times the area of ΔAOB
=4×48 =192c m 2
Area of Rhombus ABCD is 192cm2.
Therefore, option 1 is correct.
