Given,
Rs.13500 are to be distributed among Salma, Kiran and Jenifer in such a way that Salma gets Rs.1000 more than Kiran and Jenifer gets Rs.500 more than Kiran
We have to find the money received by Jenifer.
Suppose

x

is the sum received by Kiran.
Then,
The sum received by Salma is 1000 more than Kiran.

⇒ (x + 1000)

And, the sum received by Jenifer is 500 more than Kiran.

⇒ (x + 500)

If total money is 13500,

⇒ (x + x + x + 1000 + 500) = 13500

⇒ 3 x + 1500 = 13500

\Rightarrow

3 x + 1500 = 13500

\Rightarrow

3 x = 13500 − 1500

\Rightarrow

3 x = 12000

\Rightarrow

x = 120003

\Rightarrow

x = 4000

Therefore, Jenifer has received = x + 500 = 4000 + 500 = R s .4500 And Salma received = x + 1000 = 4000 + 1000 = R s .5000

So, it can be concluded that the money received by Jenifer is Rs.4500.
Therefore, option 2 is correct.
