Given:
A drum full of rice weighs

= 4016

kg. --------------(1)
Empty drum weighs

= 1334

kg. --------------(2)
On simplifying equations (1) and (2),
A drum full of rice weighs,

= 6 × 40 + 1 6

= 2416

--------------(3)
Also, empty drum weighs

= 4 × 13 + 3 4

= 554

--------------((4)
Now, making the denominators same by multiplying 4 in equation (3) and 6 in equation (4), we get,
Drum full of rice weighs,

= 241 × 4 6 × 4

= 96424

Empty drum weighs,

= 55 × 6 4 × 6

= 33024

Determine the weight of the rice in the drum.
Weight of the rice in the drum = Weight of drum full of rice - Weight of the empty drum.
Substitute the values from equation (5) and equation (6) in the above,

= 96424 − 33024

= 964 − 330 24

= 63424

= 31712

Hence, the weight of the rice in the drum is

26512

Kg.
