Detailed Solution

When a current-carrying conductor is placed in an external magnetic field, the conductor experiences a force perpendicular to both the external magnetic field and the direction of flow of current.
Fleming’s left-hand rule states that force is experienced when the current-carrying conductor is kept in a magnetic field. As the current flows through a conductor, a magnetic field is produced. This magnetic field exerts a force that is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction. Also, this direction of the force depends upon the direction of the current and the magnetic field.
