This tragedy, which took place on Sunday, January 22, 1905, is also known as Bloody Sunday.Russia at the time of Black Sunday was Autocratic. The Socialists worked with the peasants. During the 1905 revolution too, the Socialist coordinated the revolution with the peasants. Such a protest procession was organized by Father Gapon who reached the Winter Palace where it was attacked by the Russian police. More than 100 workers were killed and 300 wounded. This incident was known as the Bloody Sunday and this started a series of events that became to be known as the Revolution of 1905. Black Sunday led to multiple strikes all over the countries led by workers and university students in the following time.
