Detailed Solution

When a hot saturated solution of a substance is allowed to cool, then crystals of the substance separate out from the solution.
A solution in which no more solute can be dissolved in a given solution at a given particular temperature is called a saturated solution. On heating a saturated solution, the solubility increases but on cooling a saturated solution, the solubility decreases. When solubility decreases, the solute separates in the solid crystal form. On the cooling of the solution, the molecules of the solvent lose kinetic energy and come closer to each other thus, pushing solute molecules, which leads to the formation of crystals of the solute.
