Mahatma Gandhi returned to India in January 1915 from South Africa after practising law. In South Africa, he fought for partiality with Black Indians and protested and launched Satyagraha. After his departure to India, he started observing the situation in India under the British administration. He stayed at Kochrab Ashram in Gujarat. Gandhiji took two years to know what was happening in India, how India was treated as public also as well as a politician, he also gathered information about revolutionaries whether they were moderates or extremists and the working of Indian associations towards British exploitation.
