Detailed Solution

The Champaran Satyagraha of 1917, which was Mahatma Gandhi's first satyagraha movement in British India, is regarded as a pivotal uprising in the history of the Indian independence movement. Farmers were obliged to plant indigo without receiving any compensation, which led to the Satyagraha. The third Satyagraha protest that Gandhi oversaw was the Kheda Satyagraha in 1918. The Kheda peasant conflict is often referred to as the no-tax peasant conflict. Under the direction of Gandhiji, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Indulal Yajnik, N.M. Joshi, Shankerlal Pareekh, and many others, a satyagraha was started in March 1919. It was another experiment in non-violence, very similar to the one conducted at Champaran.
