Detailed Solution

The Indian National Congress demanded Purna Swaraj in 1929. In British India's United Provinces (modern-day Uttar Pradesh), in Chauri Chaura, on February 4, 1922, a group of angry peasants set fire to a police station. The Chauri Chaura event is what is known as this occurrence. Peasants slew around 22 police officers on that day. They were prompted by the use of force by the police on the peaceful peasant protest. Police officers who attempted to flee were apprehended and killed mercilessly. In addition, severe damage was done to police equipment and weapons. The Non-Cooperation Movement was eventually put to an end by Mahatma Gandhi since he was against violent actions. Therefore, the Chauri Chaura incident caused the movement to end.
