Detailed Solution

In 1792, the Jacobins rose against the Palace of the Tuileries.
An important turning point in the French Revolution was the Insurrection of August 10, 1792, when armed revolutionaries in Paris stormed the Tuileries Palace after growing dissatisfied with the French monarchy. Throughout 1792, tensions between King Louis XVI of France and the nation's new revolutionary Legislative Assembly grew as Louis vetoed radical proposals adopted by the Assembly. Then, on August 1, when word spread that Prussia and Austria would back Louis XVI if the populace threatened to depose him as king, tensions rose sharply. Nevertheless, a republic and a new National Assembly known as the Convention were eventually established in France due to the insurrection.
