The Jallianwala Bagh incident took place on the 13th of April, 1919. During British rule, people were not allowed to protest or critique any of the actions or decisions taken by the colonial government. If anyone was found doing the same, they were sent to jail without trial and were tortured mercilessly. During the Jallianwala Bagh incident, the British troops fired on the people who peacefully held a meeting. Hundreds of people lost their lives in the incident, and several of them were badly injured. It was one of the horrifying incidents that took place during colonial rule and is still alive in the memories of the people.
