Detailed Solution

The ‘Protection of Women from Domestic violence Act’ in India came into force in 2006.
On 26 October 2006, the Domestic Violence Act 2005 came into force to protect all women from domestic violence. It may be termed as domestic violence in case it injury and harm to the health, safety, life, limb, or well-being, whether or not intellectual or bodily, of the aggrieved person or has a tendency to accomplish that and consists of inflicting bodily abuse, sexual abuse, verbal and emotional abuse, and financial abuse. The New laws acknowledge domestic violence strictly as a human rights violation.
