The revolution of Europe came into existence in 1848.
The 1848 liberal revolution refers to a series of national uprisings in Europe led by educated middle classes and revolts led by penniless, unemployed, and hungry peasants and workers. At the same time, food shortages and widespread unemployment sparked popular uprisings in France in 1848. Men and women of the liberal middle classes banded together in other parts of Europe (including Germany, Italy, Poland, and the Austro-Hungarian Empire) to demand the establishment of parliamentary nation-states. They pursued constitutionalism through a national union, a nation-state with a codified constitution, and parliamentary administration. They wished to liberate society from class biases and birthright. Both serfdom and bonded labour had to be abolished. They desired economic freedom and property rights. The elimination of government-imposed restrictions on the free movement of goods and capital.
