Detailed Solution

The Russian government suspended the Duma on 25th February 1917.
Duma was a legislative body formed by the government. After many losses of Russia in the First World War, the Duma (legislative body) started questioning the executives (government). It led to the suspension of the Duma because the government of the Tsar did not want any opposition. However, the politicians and the people were unhappy with this decision, and many demonstrators ravaged police headquarters. The government sent cavaliers to control the situation, but they refused and joined the demonstrators.
