When did the United Nations officially come into existence?

 

The United Nations was founded on the principles set forth in its Charter. To put a stop to international conflicts, it was signed on June 26, 1945, in San Francisco, and went into effect on October 24, 1945. It provides a platform to converse. It has numerous subsidiaries that help it carry out its purpose. It has 193 members, including all international members. The newest member of the UN is South Sudan, which joined on July 14, 2011. There are six major institutions in the organisation.
