Detailed Solution

The women in France got the Right to Vote in 1946.
Women were denied the right to vote despite the lofty ideals of liberty and equality embodied in the French Revolution of 1789. It persisted even more during the Reign of Terror, and numerous well-known women were detained, and some were put to death. Throughout the following 200 years, women's movements for equal pay and voting rights continued worldwide. During the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, an international suffrage movement was used to fight for the right to vote. The political involvement of French women during the Revolutionary era was held up as an inspiration. In 1946, after a long struggle, women finally got the right to vote in France.
