Detailed Solution

When heat is constantly supplied by a burner to boiling water, then the temperature of the water during vaporisation does not rise at all.
The temperature stays constant during the boiling of water even though heat is supplied constantly because the heat energy provided to the water is used up in change in the state of water from liquid water to gaseous water vapour. Therefore all the heat energy applied increases the kinetic energy of the particles and temperature is not increased.
