Detailed Solution

Census is conducted every 10 years. A census is a tally and representation of the population. The number of people documented varies depending on the end purpose of the statistics and how cautious the enumerator was. It is an efficient and current census registration conducted non-coordinated somewhere between 1865 and 1872 in various parts of the country. This effort, which culminated in 1872, was dubbed the "Primary Census of India." W.C. Plowden, Census Commissioner of India, conducted the first coordinated census under British control in 1881. Censuses have been attempted regularly since that time, like clockwork.
