When more water is added to a concentrated sodium hydroxide solution, the pH of the solution will increase.
When water is added to the concentrated solution of sodium hydroxide solution, the concentration of hydroxide ions decreases and the concentration of hydrogen ions increases. As on the dilution of any concentrated solution by water, results in the less number of ions in the solution which further results in decrease in pH.

Therefore, the pH will decrease. Hence, we can say that when sodium hydroxide solution is diluted, the pH of the solution will decrease.
