Detailed Solution

When Simon Commission arrived in India, it was greeted with the slogan, Go back, Simon.
By 1930, the country was in deep economic and political turmoil, and the new Tory government in Britain established a commission under Sir John Simon. Its objective was to look into the functioning of the ongoing constitutional system in India and suggest changes accordingly. But the main issue with the Simon Commission was that all were British and did not have a single Indian member. It agitated the Indian nationalist leaders, and when Simon Commission arrived in India in 1928, the Congress, Muslim League, and other parties demonstrated protests against this with the slogan; Go Back, Simon.
