When the velocity of a body is doubled, then what is the effect of momentum?

We know that velocity is directly properstional to velocity
According to the question, If velocity is double then

$P=m\times 2V$
Then,
$P=2m\times V$
P=2 P
Hence If velocity is double then momentum is also double.
