Let velocity of bodies be $v_{1} and v_{2} .$

in first case

$u_{1} = v_{1} + v_{2}$

in second case

$u_{2} = v_{1} - v_{2}$

$∴ v_{1} = \frac{u_{1} + u_{2}}{2} and v_{2} = \frac{u_{1} - u_{2}}{2}$

Here $u_{1} = \frac{16}{10} m / s and u_{2} = \frac{3}{5}$

After solving we have
