Detailed Solution

The Abolition of Censorship introduced in 1789. The French Revolution impacted the daily lives of people as well. The old regime, which existed before the French Revolution, had imposed many censorships against books, newspapers, plays, etc., to curb the growing criticism against them. Any story or news regarding the monarchy or the royals could be published in the newspapers and books after the members appointed by the king had approved them. But after the French Revolution, the Declaration of Rights of Man and the Citizen was adopted. According to this, every citizen of France had an equal right to freedom of expression and speech. Through this, the censorship Act was abolished in 1789, thus giving liberty to all.
