Detailed Solution

The Civil Disobedience Movement started in 1930. Mahatma Gandhi launched the civil disobedience movement in 1930 to demand independence from the British. He breached the salt regulations in the Gujarat town of Dandi. Mahatma Gandhi and Lord Irwin signed a treaty in 1931. Everyone who had breached the law had been released. Mahatma Gandhi travelled to England for the second round table discussion, but negotiations fell through. Following his return from England, Mahatma Gandhi relaunched the movement. The British apprehended him. The government declared Congress illegal, and hundreds of leaders were imprisoned. The police brutalised the protesters multiple times to end the uprising.
