Detailed Solution

The Enabling Act was passed in Germany in 1933.
Germany had a dictatorship because of this Act. Hitler, as the Chancellor, was granted complete authority to ignore Parliament and impose his will. With the help of the Reichstag, the lower house of the Weimar Republic's legislature, the legislation granted the Chancellor the authority to pass laws. Additionally, it gave the Chancellor authority to ignore key provisions of the Weimar Constitution. Germany outlawed all political parties and labour unions, except the Nazi Party and its affiliates. Hitler's new state apparatus established total control over the army, courts, media, and economy. To manage and shape society the way the Nazis desired, specialised surveillance and security forces like the SD, Gestapo, and criminal police were established.
