Detailed Solution

National Food For Work was launched in 2004 to provide free food grains to certain states.
It was implemented in 150 poor and backward districts in India. The aim is to provide food grains.
In return for a certain amount of labour engagement by the workers. The workers are required to build
Roads, clear debris, etc., and the government will provide supplementary wages to labourers
and food at no cost to the states. It is a poverty alleviation program initiated by the government.
