When will Cyclone Montha end?

As of the latest information, Cyclone Montha (spelled sometimes “Montha”) is still active over the Bay of Bengal and approaching landfall in Andhra Pradesh around 28 October 2025.

There is no definitive public-service statement specifying exactly when it will “end” (dissipate). However projections indicate that after landfall, the cyclone will start weakening over land and maritime zones. The alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in Jharkhand has been issued until 31 October 2025 in connection with Montha’s residual effects.
