The Gaddis are a Scheduled Tribe of Himachal Pradesh, and they are primarily concentrated around Bharmouri, in the Chamba district. This region is known as "Gaderan," which literally translates to "the Gaddis' home." The residence of Gaddis is another name for Bharmour. Around the Dhauladhar mountains in Himachal Pradesh, the Gaddis reside. A few people reside close to Dharamsala. They relocated in April and spent the summer in Lahaul and Spiti. They start their return movement by the end of September. The Gaddis are devotees of Lord Shiva, and Mount Kailash serves as both a spiritual and geographical landmark for them. Once the herdsmen return, the Chaurasi Temple in Bharmour celebrates the seven-day Bharmour yatra.
