The male reproductive tract comprises the testes, scrotum, spermatic ducts, prostate gland, and penis. Sperms are the male reproductive cells or gametes formed inside the testes.

After their formation, the sperms are still immature and non-motile. They move into a coiled tube called epididymis that lies posterior to each testis. It is here that the sperm are temporarily stored till they mature and become motile.
