The Vindhiyas is located in Central India.
West-central India has a series of hills and mountains known as the Vindhyas. They are a complex, asymmetrical chain of mountain ridges, hill ranges, highlands, and plateau escarpments in west-central India. One of the numerous distinct hill systems that once comprised the Vindhyas, a widely defined hill range in central India, is the Satpura Range. The Narmada-Son valley and the Vindhya range are parallel. The Vindhya range reaches Chattisgarh in the east, Gujarat in the west, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar in the north. In the northernmost part of the Vindhya Mountains, rice was also farmed.
