Detailed Solution

Evidence about cloth was found in Mohenjo-Daro.
1) Archaeologists have found actual pieces of cloth attached to the lid of a silver vase and some copper objects at Mohenjodaro, a Harappan city.
2) Cotton was probably grown at Mehrgarh from about 7000 years ago that workers perhaps used in the production of clothes.
3) Archaeologists have also found instruments for cloth production- spindle whorls made of terracotta and faience. Spinners used spindle whorls to spin thread.
4) Historians believe that Harappan cities had specialists who produced various items like- Embroidered cloth. Archaeologists found a stone statue in Mohenjodaro wearing an embroidered garment. The presence of an embroidered cloth indicates that this person had significance in society.
