Detailed Solution

In India, Mahatma Gandhi used his noble idea of Satyagraha for the first time.
In the years 1917 to 1918, Mohandas Gandhi inspired the first Satyagraha movements in the Gujarati and Bihar districts of Kheda and Champaran. The phrase "Satyagraha" was first used in the anti-Rowlatt Act movement, while Champaran Satyagraha was the first to be launched. The concept of Satyagraha emphasised the importance of seeking out the truth and the strength of the fact. It implied that using physical force to combat the oppressor was unnecessary if the cause was just and the fight was against injustice. A Satyagrahi could prevail in war by nonviolence without seeking retribution or being violent. This might be accomplished by addressing the conscience of the oppressor.
