Detailed Solution

The Manigramam and Nanadesi belong to Tamil Nadu. Specialised merchant guilds focused on metropolitan centres included the Sankarappadi and Saliya Nagarattar guilds. During the Pallava and Chola eras, the Manigramam guild was active throughout Southeast Asia and prospered in Tamil Nadu. They have also known as Nagara and Nakaramu, the Nakara guild. One of the most influential guilds was the Ayyavole, named after the former Chalukyan city of Aihole. It dominated trade in the Deccan, whereas the Manigramam was located in Tamil Nadu. Trade between the guilds of south India and the peninsula, as well as Southeast Asia and China, is extensive.
