Detailed Solution

In the USA mass production became a characteristic feature of industrial production in the early 1920s. Even though mass manufacturing had begun to take off in the late nineteenth century, it wasn't until the 1920s that it started to take off as a distinctive feature of US industrial output. Henry Ford, the father of mass production, is well-known for creating the automobile. He adapted the assembly line from a Chicago slaughterhouse to construct his new auto facility in Detroit. He realised that producing cars on an assembly line would be simpler, faster, and more affordable. Employees on the assembly line had to do mechanically and repeatedly repetitive operations like fastening a specific item to a car at a conveyor belt-determined speed. It was possible to boost worker output by accelerating the work rate.
