Detailed Solution

Cotton Mill workers strike led by Gandhi in 1918. It was also known as Ahmedabad Mill Strike. In this strike, he used the hunger strike as a weapon. The dispute between the mill owners and workers resulted in the strike. The workers of the cotton mill demanded a 50% rise in their wages but the mill owners were only ready to increase by 20%. It disappointed the workers. Gandhi helped the workers in attaining the right to fasting. This made the mill owners give up. Finally, the strike was resolved by increasing the wage of workers up to 35%.
