Detailed Solution

The 1990 constitution of Nepal proposed that the executive power of the Kingdom of Nepal be vested in the king and the council of ministers. This gave the king the final authority to make decisions. However, this was changed in the new constitution of Nepal, which came into force in 2008. The new constitution vested the executive powers in the council of ministers. These changes were made because the previous constitution did not reflect the country's ideals that the people of Nepal wanted to be.
