Detailed Solution

At the Congress' Nagpur Session in December 1920, critical noncooperation pacts were made in Maharashtra. The initiative behind the movement for noncooperation came from Mahatma Gandhi. In March 1920, he released a manifesto explaining the tenets of the nonviolent noncooperation movement. A campaign was started to support the upkeep of Hindu-Muslim harmony and strict nonviolence, as well as to renounce names, and boycott international goods, councils, courts, and educational institutions. On September 5, 1920, Mahatma Gandhi established the Non-Cooperation Movement to obtain total independence. The product was dropped in 1922.
