The beginning of the July revolution was seen in Belgium. Many sections of the society opposed the treaty of Vienna of 1815. Many revolutions were witnessed throughout Europe: most notably in Italy and Germany, while some parts of Ireland, Portugal, Poland and the Ottoman Empire also saw uprisings. Another prominent one was in Brussels, Belgium. The July Revolution started, eventually leading to Belgium's separation from the United Kingdom of the Netherlands.
