Where does insemination occur in females?

In female mammals, including humans, insemination occurs in the oviduct, also known as the fallopian tube. 

The oviduct is a muscular, narrow tube that connects the ovary to the uterus. It is the site of fertilization where the egg and sperm meet. 

A mature egg is released from the ovary during ovulation and travels into the oviduct, where it may be fertilized by sperm. If the egg is fertilized, it travels down the oviduct and into the uterus, where it may implant and start to grow and develop.

The uterus is a muscular organ that houses the reproductive organs and is the site of pregnancy and childbirth. 

The vulva is the external female genitalia that includes the labia majora and minora, the clitoris, and the vaginal opening.

The vaginal canal is a muscular canal that connects the cervix (the lower part of the uterus) to the outside of the body and allows menstrual blood, sexual intercourse, and childbirth to pass through.
