Where does internal fertilisation occur?

Internal fertilization refers to fertilization that takes place inside the body. Here, the fusion of gametes takes place inside the body of the female.

During this process, the male deposits sperm into the female's reproductive tract, where it meets and fertilises the egg. This typically happens within the fallopian tubes of the female. 

Internal fertilisation provides a protected environment for the sperm and egg to unite, increasing the chances of successful fertilisation and subsequent development of the zygote. This method of fertilisation is common in many animals, including humans.
