Where does the land breeze blow? 

• Large water bodies get hot and cold slowly as compared to ground surfaces.
• At night, the ground cools down quickly as compared to the water in the large water bodies. 
• Due to this, the air pressure above the land is higher than the pressure on the surface of the water bodies.
• As a result, the wind starts blowing from a high-pressure region that is the land to a low-pressure region that is the water body. This is called a land breeze.

Hence we can say that land breeze blows near large water bodies.
