Detailed Solution

Inamgaon is situated in Maharashtra. It is an archaeological site and a post-Harappan farming settlement in the Pune district of Maharashtra. An historic location with dimensions of 550 by 430 metres can be found about 3 kilometres from Inamgaon. There are five mounds in the area. The largest mound, known as Inamgaon I, has been the subject of extensive archaeological excavation and study. The area was occupied between 1800 and 1200 BC, or 3800 to 3200 B.P. (calibrated). The Chalcolithic settlement was excavated to better understand the previous and later Jorge cultures. The Chalcolithic can be divided into three stages at Inamgaon.
