Detailed Solution

Mithankot is located in Pakistan.
The Indus and its tributaries Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Sutlej, and Beas combine and enter Mithankot and merge with the Panjnad River of Pakistan territory of Punjab. From here, the Indus flows southwards, eventually reaching the Arabian Sea east of Karachi.
Though Indus originates in a mountain spring, it is enriched by the Himalayan glaciers to be one of the largest rivers in the world. It is the main source of water for several regions of Pakistan. Since it is a part of the Himalayan river system, the Indus Valley is among the driest regions of South Asia, with little vegetation.
