The Krishna River is covered by the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, which is located in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This dam is being built in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam's construction was finished between 1955 and 1967. Nagarjuna Sagar Dam was connected to the Godavari-Penna River. It acted as a linking project between the two rivers, Godavari and Penna. The project of this dam also includes the construction of a 400 km canal along with this dam. Also, this project linked the Krishna river. The government approved the detailed project for linking the rivers in February 2020.
