Where is stratified cuboidal epithelium found in the body?

Stratified cuboidal epithelium consists of two or more layers of cube-shaped cells, providing both protection and limited secretion. This tissue type is less common than simple cuboidal epithelium but is found in specific glandular structures. It lines the ducts of sweat glands, mammary glands, and salivary glands. It also appears in larger excretory ducts of the pancreas and reproductive organs such as the male urethra. 

The multiple layers protect underlying tissues from friction and chemical stress during secretion. The outer layer of cells may actively secrete or absorb substances, while the inner layers provide structural support. In glands, it helps maintain duct shape and ensures smooth passage of secretions. The stratified structure also prevents damage from repeated use or exposure to secreted materials. Overall, this epithelium combines durability with moderate secretory ability, making it vital for the proper functioning of exocrine glands and ensuring their longevity and resistance to wear and tear.
