Detailed Solution

Adichanallur site is in Tamil Nadu. Before Keezhadi, an ancient site in the Sivaganga district, attracted considerable notice, there was Adichanallur. Since 1876, when the German explorer Dr. F. Jagor found some surprising artefacts there and took them to a Berlin museum, never to be returned to Tamil Nadu, this site has been the subject of excavations. The Adichanallur archaeological site in Tamil Nadu, India's Thoothukudi district, has been the scene of numerous important archaeological discoveries. Adichanallur is around 15 kilometres away from Korkai, the seat of the Early Pandyan Kingdom. Carbon dating of samples obtained from the Adichanallur site in 2004 revealed that they date from between 1000 BC and 600 BC.
